Description

This boat has been lovingly cared for by its present owner and, whilst maintaining many of the original features, she has many modifications to make her the ideal ‘live abroad’ for long-term cruising including a comfortable aft cabin.

OkEyes have been inserted in the bows for safer mooring and to prevent damage to the teak toe rail, a Lofrans 1500W windlass, with foot controls for easy anchoring, was installed. New 70m anchor chain.

She is ideally suited to a couple with occasional guests or crew.

Trintella’s reputation for safety and workmanship make these yachts very sought after. Trintella IV’s have recently been recognized as “Polyclassics” in Holland.

Construction

Trintella are known for a high standard of finish and the use of good quality wood finishes is particularly a feature, as are teak decks. The Trintella also has aluminium windscreen, with an opening centres section complete with Clearvue screen. The Victory has a less streamlined teak semi-wheelhouse.

The side windows in Whale Song’s aft cabin all open inwards and secure well giving good ventilation, most other boats’ aft cabin windows don’t open. On deck, Whale Song has 15mm thick teak on all decks. There are also teak rubbing strakes along the hull and these and the toe rails have stainless steel protective strips.

Rudder foam replaced by waterproof foam. Hull then treated with 10 to 15 year life Coppercoat, Copper/Epoxy antifouling.

Water, Diesel and spare Water/Holding Tanks all integral to hull, providing extra buoyancy in emergency.
All tanks have several large access hatches.
Keel is lead encapsulated.

Fore Cabin: 6ft 3in long twin berths, convertible to double
Headroom: 1m 90cm
Forward Head: All pipes above waterline.
Galley: Increased workspace and more light by folding down hinged Chart Table bulkhead.
Saloon: Thicker foam has been fitted to seats to give a more comfortable and higher seating area, with more storage under. The saloon Table has been relocated to allow more Galley space and easier walkway forward. This can be raised to provide a sea berth under.
Aft owner’s suite has very comfortable King size bed
