Description

Hemma is a cutter rigged ketch, constructed in Orust, Sweden by Rexmarin AB. When I bought her in Lindingö, Sweden, she had been sailing in the Baltic Sea, and every winter on the shore. As I was looking for a decent blue water cruiser, who had a versatile equipment for sailing short handed, a volvo penta 31md with 2600 hours, a 3kw bow thruster and a decent deplacement, she ticked all the boxes. Also the transom and the center cockpit were all plus, as I was planning to sail with my wife and son, so safety first. Modifications were made before we left( new head/cutter sail, solar panel sun awning, new agm batteries, pacific plus windpilot) and while we sailed from Sweden to Holland for the standing rigging replacement, we found that she was quite fast and sea kindly. So, after various replacements under way (new automatic pilot, overhaul motor, carib hypalon dinghy, windpilot pacific plus) we sailed her to Cartagena, Colombia. Since then, I sailed with friends, family and on holidays with my wife and son towards Mexico, and further on the pacific until Fiji, New Caledonia, Australia, asia..Socotra, Suakin, Suez..until we closed the loop in Portugal on 15/08. She is now standing on the dry in Portimao.
The boat has been a terrific companion through the whole tour, very sea kindly.The electric circuit has also 220v, with a phoenix victron 1600 w on the solar panels. Interior is original, as is the galley. Hull can use a shine, and the teak deck has been maintained and recently oiled. Any more serious questions, mail me.

The asking price is set at a decent level, as I am looking for a quick sale. There is no use to leave her standing in a yard for months on end. Also, I sell her without a broker's fee.

Accommodation

Sleeps easily 6, with private captains aft cabin a queensize bed and front a double, each with private head/shower.
Port and starboard bunks can be converted to beds, and there is one underway bunk.

I am recommending to replace the seacranes on the through hulls, they have always been greased on the dry, but -except 3-, they should be renewed.

The injectors have been checked in november,2023. The mechanic said, that they were still fine. So I did not let replace these, as there is a new set and seals on board.
